We are pleased to announce the 13th Annual Tcl/Tk conference (Tcl'2006), sponsored by Noumena Corporation , Digital Smarties , Eolas Technologies and ActiveState .

Learn from the experts, share your experience - the annual Tcl/Tk conference is your opportunity to engage with the Tcl/Tk core team and your fellow peers.

The conference program will include:

  • presentations and tutorials on Tcl/Tk and related technology
  • ActiveState of Tcl talk by Tcl/Tk release manager Jeff Hobbs
  • invited keynote talks
  • Birds of a Feather (BOF) sessions
  • discussion forums with the Tcl/Tk core team

How To Register

Pre-Registration for Tcl-2006 is closed. You can register at the door when you arrive at the Holiday Inn Select, Naperville

Registration will be open daily from 08:30 until 17:00.

The hotel has closed the low-cost Tcl room block. If you register at-the-door, let us know if you are getting a room, and we might be able to help get a reduced rate.

Several medium/low-priced restaurants are within walking distance, and a free shuttle to downtown Naperville or the Metra train station to Chicago. Downtown Naperville is filled with food and drink.

Registration Information

All prices are US$.

Technical Sessions (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) registration includes:

  • Access to all conference technical sessions
  • Access to evening BOFs and community meetings
  • One set of proceedings on CD
  • Breakfast and morning and evening snack breaks

Each tutorial is one half-day session (3 hours instruction time + one break). Tutorials have limited space. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tutorial Sessions (Monday, Tuesday) registration includes:

  • Access to all registered tutorial sessions
  • Complete course handouts
  • Snack break during the tutorial

Walk-in registration: Add $100 to your total fees when registering on-site.

Tutorial Pricing

The Tcl/Tk Conference Committee is offering tutorials on a Cheaper-By-The-(one-third)Dozen schedule. Rather than a flat rate, the tutorials become cheaper as you learn more.

Special Discounts
Full Time Student Technical Session fee is only $150 for students, with proof of status, a copy of your student ID and class schedule.
Presenters Deduct $100 from your total fees if you are presenting a paper

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel your registration, please email [email protected]. Registration fees for cancellations received before July 1st will be refunded after a $100 processing charge has been deducted.

Transportation

Both O'Hare and Midway airports have shuttle-bus service to the Holiday Inn, Naperville.

The Naperville train station is nearby. The hotel offers free shuttle service to/from the train station.

The Holiday Inn, Naperville is just off I-88, visible from the highway. Go South on the Naperville Rd exit.
