$Id: STATUS,v 1.11 2005/06/29 12:57:58 arjenmarkus Exp $ * Long term, the plan is probably to move to a more suitable format for documentation, such as DocBook, or Joe English's TMML. This will make rearranging sections easier. This will be easier if the HTML used is correct, and descriptive... * In the first few chapters I started working on, I began to replace the various and other tags with stuff like this: set varName ?value? Using CSS, this can then be rendered how we see fit. Not quite as nice as DocBook, but it makes it easier to play around with the way the text is rendered, and might make it easier to automatically parse the HTML, at least to a degree. * Please don't run the automatic transformation script in the html/ directory at this point, as I've started to hand edit the HTML files. If you think something needs doing at the global level with the HTML files, let's discuss it and find the best approach. * Emacs users - try psgml mode to get nice HTML editing and indentation. Unclaimed chapters: 36+. Arjen Markus has finished work on chapters 20-29. Added: chapter 26a. He has updated the [expr]-related chapters, 6 and 7. Added: chapter 23a on dictionaries. David Welton is working from the beginning of the tutorial, and on chapters 36-40. Neil Madden is working on chapters 30-35. If you would like to help revise sections of the tutorial, check to make sure someone isn't working on it already (ask on irc.freenode.net #tcl, or the tcl-core mailing list).
